Verdhello Cottage

Leading off the back of the living area is the master bedroom with en-suite wc, spa-bath and separate shower with seat. Once a store for barrels of cognac, the aroma has sadly now gone, but the residue from the “angels share” (the part of the cognac that evaporated from the barrels) may still be seen high up on the stone walls.

The massive oak doors between the lounge and master bedroom were designed to prevent the raiding English from defiling the sacred stores of cognac during the Napoleonic wars.

Upstairs there is a twin room, a single room and a small shower room with WC and basin. Please note that the stairs are quite steep (2 stairgates are provided). There is a low beam upstairs (about 1.6m) near the shower room and single bedroom. Guest Comments.

A parking space is provided in the covered area between the main lawn and the pool
